Phrasary is a reference site with no accounts and no tracking. This page says exactly what happens to anything you type.

Searching a page
The search fields — Find a language, Find a phrase or word — work entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent anywhere.
The translate box
When you use the translate box, the text you enter is sent to Google Translate to obtain the translation. It passes through our server on the way, which forwards it and returns the answer; we do not store it, log it, or connect it to you. What Google does with text it receives is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Your theme
If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is kept in your browser's local storage as a single value (phrasary-theme) so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your browser, and clearing your site data removes it.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Phrasary sets no cookies. There is no analytics script and no advertising on the site. Fonts are served from phrasary.com itself, so viewing a page makes no request to a font service. Should any of this change, this page will be updated before it does.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. As with any host, Cloudflare may keep standard, short-lived request logs — the address a request came from, the page requested, and when — for operating and securing the service. Cloudflare's handling of those logs is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Mail to hello@ or [email protected] is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox we read. It is kept only as long as it takes to act on, and it is not added to any list.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions about any of this go to the contact address.
